Job Title: Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer
Location: Midlands
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) (Requirements for on call weekend work - Rotation)
Salary: £29,911.20 + Company Vehicle
Job Summary: This role is crucial for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of Airband's network infrastructure. Reporting to Infrastructure Team Leader you will be responsible for;
Responsibilities- Maintenance: Ensure the continuous operation and upkeep of Airband's Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) sites and fibre cabinets. Ensure sites are accessible and safe for the Infrastructure Engineers.
- Servicing: Conduct regular servicing to prevent potential issues and ensure optimal performance of all infrastructure components.
- Maintain and repair Airband's FWA and fibre sites - ensure trees, bushes and associated foliage are cut back; sites are accessible and safe for all engineering staff.
- Build and repair fences where required to keep livestock at a distance from cabinets or masts.
- Assist the infrastructure team as required with outages/daily workflow; survey, installation & maintenance of cabinet infrastructure where required.
- Read and understand technical drawings and specification sheets required to install the equipment you are working with.
- Work in accordance with Airband H&S policies and within HSE guidelines; use safety equipment and procedures while demonstrating to other team members.
- Follow the Airband ethos and demonstrate it to other team members.
- Use Airband systems such as Salesforce to record activities.
- General access maintenance skills
- Communicate and record daily tasks
- Communicate and record site safety critical information
- Understanding of the infrastructure portfolio
- Must be comfortable working at heights (including rooftops)
It is important that all our engineers have the right certifications to be compliant and safe whilst working. Therefore, we have a list of mandatory requirements for the role, but we will support new colleagues to fill any skills gaps they have before they are fully operational in the role.
