You will be responsible for the operation and control of the IT infrastructure (comprising physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage) either on-premises or provisioned as cloud services). You will be responsible for providing 3rd and 4th line infrastructure support across the business. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and managing existing IT Infrastructure in line with the preventative-maintained plans and standards as well as support and others in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents and problems. You will be responsible for ensuring that stakeholders are informed about the benefits and pitfalls of design options. Your prior experience resolving tickets and incidents as an Infrastructure Engineer, will allow you to hit the ground running. Your knowledge of the design and operational management of IT Infrastructure environments, both in cloud and on prem, will be vital for success in this role. Your hands on experience with VMWare, Windows Server, Cisco Meraki, storage and networking, will allow you to be productive from day one.Your excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills will be useful when communicating with various stakeholders within the business. Your experience with implementing and supporting cloud infrastructure (Azure) and an interest in expanding your skills in this area will be highly advantageous. Server and Network hardware, Virtualisation, Storage, Server Operating systems, Active directory, Cisco Meraki, VMware, SAN, NetApp, Watchguard, Aruba HP, DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, Web services and databases, Security products, Automation and Configuration Management and/or IaC (Infrastructure as code) technologies at scale and Cloud computing (Azure). This role might involve on-call working on a rota basis (24/7) To be successful in this role you will be required to pass an enhanced security vetting process. We offer an EV car scheme.
