Infrastructure Engineer

Role: Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: £65k to £75k per annum
Clearance: MOD DV
Location: North West London

Our client is looking for specialists at SFIA Level 4 or 5 to join their design and integration teams across two distinct technical pathways:

Pathway 1: Windows & On-Premise Specialist

Focusing on the design, build, and migration of secure Windows environments.

• Core Tech: Windows Server & Desktop builds using MDT and SCCM.
• Directory Services: Advanced Active Directory version uplifts, migrations, and Group Policy troubleshooting.
• Virtualisation: Full-life cycle VMware deployment and management.
• Infrastructure: SAN storage implementation, configuration, and technical refreshes.
• Design: Production of High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.

Pathway 2: Linux & Applications Specialist

Focusing on secure OS capabilities and integrated monitoring solutions.

• Core Tech: Advanced Linux (Red Hat preferred) provisioning and version upgrades.
• Security & Hardening: Hardening to CIS/NIST standards and threat remediation.
• Modern Delivery: Implementation of containerised applications and patch deployment via Satellite Server.
• Monitoring & Networks: Deployment of management tools using SNMP, Syslog, and IP Networking.
• Integration: Tight integration of monitoring tools with Active Directory and Backup solutions.
