This role is hybrid (3 days in the office) and can be based in Birmingham, London, Bristol, Manchester, or Belfast.
What you'll be doing- Deployment Management: Work with project & engineering teams to coordinate and manage the phased rollout of infrastructure across all user groups.
- Endpoint & Application Troubleshooting & Remediation: Use extensive enterprise application development experience to respond to, identify, and troubleshoot issues with enterprise applications.
- Solution Engineering: Collaborate with BT EAs, SAs, and other stakeholders to propose and implement solutions for legacy or incompatible applications.
- Operational Engineering: Act as the escalation point for deployment-related technical issues and support the team in resolving user-impacting incidents.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Maintain clear documentation of deployment progress, findings, and solutions; train operational support teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring issues and propose process or technical improvements to optimize performance and user experience.
- Security Architecture Design: Collaborate on security architecture for networks and hosting platforms, considering business requirements.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Act as a business partner, providing guidance on security infrastructure, and work with IT and engineering teams to ensure security solutions are implemented effectively. Address resource, finance, and other constraints.
- Risk Management: Document and share security risks related to networks and hosting platforms, monitor progress, and report on security incident responses.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions to increase understanding of network and hosting platform security benefits and practices.
- Presentations and Communication: Prepare high-quality presentations for executive meetings and communicate complex technical information clearly. Support management with analysis and reporting.
Skills & Experience Required for the Role
- Solid understanding of network and hosting platform environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
- Experience in security architecture, especially in networks and hosting platforms.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
