Description

We're looking for an Infrastructure Analyst to support the Project team with all technical activities, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and adherence to project governance standards.

We're open to candidates with infrastructure experience as well as those currently in a service desk role who are looking to progress into infrastructure. The key traits we're looking for are strong communication skills and a hands-on, proactive attitude someone who's willing to jump in and get involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the Hibiscus Project, ensuring tasks are completed within agreed timelines and to a high standard.
  • Manage and troubleshoot incidents related to:
    • Active Directory, including Group Policy
    • Windows Server environments
    • Telephony systems, including Contact Centre and Call Recording applications
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure hosting provider to ensure infrastructure is maintained and performing effectively.
  • Work with the Security Lead to minimise risks associated with the new laptop rollout.
  • Ensure compliance with IT infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures, maintaining accurate documentation and security controls.
  • Stay up to date with developments in IT infrastructure and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Take proactive ownership of complex operational issues and support team members in resolving them.
  • Act as a technical advisor within the team, providing guidance and promoting best practices for managing IT infrastructure.

Profile

  • Strong background in Windows Server and Active Directory administration, including user management, group policy, and access control.
  • Proven experience providing infrastructure and end-user support across Windows environments.
  • Skilled in incident and problem management, including coordination with third-party service providers.
  • Logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks through to resolution and ensure clear handover when required.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance empathy for end users with objective decision-making.
  • ITIL Foundation certification (V3 or later).
  • Experience within the financial industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proactive in suggesting and contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives.
