Information Technology Manager - Digital Innovation

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
Working Pattern: 35 hours a week
Location: Bristol city centre - hybrid
Direct Reports: 4 Senior Technical Engineers

As an Information Technology Manager you will oversee the technical operations of the business's facilities, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality and reliable technical services. As part of the senior leadership team on site, you will provide strategic direction and hands-on operational support to technical service teams. You will also take responsibility for managing allocated budgets and will directly supervise senior technical staff and team leads.

Information Technology Manager - Additional responsibilities include:

  • Infrastructure Oversight: Lead the development and operation of modern digital infrastructure including networking, compute systems, and immersive technologies.
  • Process & Systems Development:
    • Standardise Back End systems
    • Establish new ways of working
    • Set up robust processes tailored to R&D needs
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop future technology roadmaps
    • Lead foreseeable projects
    • Oversee system design and implementation
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with partners, internal staff, and clients
    • Work closely with other areas of the business for strategic input
  • Procurement & Budgeting

  • Proven experience in operational leadership within digital infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset: able to navigate ambiguity, offer alternatives, and deliver solutions.

  • Experience working across diverse technical domains and user needs.
