We are looking for an Information Systems Technical Support Engineer to provide high quality infrastructure and end user support across our business operations.
In this role, you will support users, maintain IT systems, and ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services across the organisation. You will work closely with the Information Systems Technical Manager, IS Technical Support team, and IS Administrator to maintain service excellence and continuous improvement.
This role is based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and network infrastructure across the organisation.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed Service Level targets.
- Administer user accounts and access within Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and associated systems.
- Provision new hardware and replacement assets, maintaining accurate records within the IT asset register.
- Monitor, update, and elevate service desk tickets to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Ensure all IT activities comply with internal IT governance standards and health and safety guidelines.
- Document system changes, updates, and resolutions according to IT service desk and change management standards.
- Fundamental understanding of Active Directory user administration.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Azure, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Experience using an ITIL based ticketing system to manage incidents and service requests.
- Strong desktop support experience across Windows 10/11, iOS, Android, and printer environments.
- Basic networking knowledge, with the ability to diagnose connectivity and performance issues.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel when required.
- Experience with Microsoft scripting technologies such as PowerShell, VBA, or VBScript.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, including T SQL or DBA activities.
- Experience with Citrix or Windows Terminal Services environments.
