Overview of the Industrials Team

The EMEA Industrials team at Moelis & Company provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients across EMEA, advising a diverse range of industrial companies in manufacturing, transportation, building products, capital goods, automotive, and engineered systems. We combine deep sector expertise with a global perspective to support clients through industrial transformation, supply chain realignment, technological innovation, sustainability initiatives, and evolving regulatory frameworks.

Position Description

Moelis & Company's Associates are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, leadership, and analytical aptitude.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Financial analysis and modeling
• Managing a team, preparing client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients
• Performing in depth quantitative financial analysis that informs business, industry, and economic forecasting
• Identifying emerging market trends and regulatory changes and developing strategies to secure investment opportunities and expand the firm's presence within the market
• Constructing financial models, company valuations, and merger & acquisition transaction comparisons based on research findings and client analysis
• Interpreting data concerning price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks and economic influences relevant to investments
• Assisting in the preparation of offering memoranda, transaction related documentation, and client presentations
• Gathering industry, regulatory, and economic information, company financial statements, financial periodicals, and publications to extract relevant data on financial histories for forecasting future potentials

Required Skills & Experience

• Excellent analytical and presentation skills
• Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyze and value businesses
• Some experience in Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) or equivalent is essential
• Results driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines
• Proven team player who can effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients
• Strong multi tasking skills
• Strong Microsoft Office suite proficiency (Excel a must) and financial reporting skills

Education

Undergraduate degree; emphasis in finance, business, accounting, economics, or mathematics preferred.
