We are seeking four (4) Student Workers for our Operations, Procurement, Quality, and R&T teams for a year-long industrial placement starting in 2025 in Duxford, UK.

Depending on the project, responsibilities may include:

R&T Function

• Conduct practical lab work and research on composite product development and testing
• Report, interpret results, and present findings
• Prepare and test samples for their chemical, physical, and mechanical properties

Operations Function

• Train operators and supervisors on the Andon system and Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Create management views of the Andon system
• Coordinate with the system supplier
• Assist in implementing Andon systems at work centers
• Participate in process improvement projects

Quality Function

• Support the development of a new document management system
• Investigate and implement systems for managing best practices and lessons learned
• Assist in updating global procedures
• Clean, verify data, and automate processes
• Analyze data using descriptive statistics across multiple sites
• Support digital data transfer initiatives

Procurement/Sourcing Function

• Generate and analyze enterprise KPIs monthly
• Analyze budgets and spend data
• Support category strategy development
• Consolidate MRO supplier projects
• Participate in process improvement for cost savings
• Support global supplier sustainability initiatives

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a qualification in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics/Science, or recent vocational school graduate
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
