Industrial Painter / Shot Blaster

OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE JOB

J.S. McCarthy is now recruiting for qualified Industrial Painters for our long-term contracts nationwide. JS McCarthy aims to provide permanent long-term employment and we provide all necessary training and development for our employees to carry out specialist contracts. JS McCarthy carries out commercial & industrial painting contracts throughout a broad range of industrial sectors with clients that have awarded multiyear contracts to carry out all their Industrial Painting on site. With over 145 years of experience in the Irish market, we have earned a reputation for performing very high quality work, safely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• All work to be completed in accordance with JS McCarthy Safety, Quality & Environmental Standards.
• Application of specialist coating by brush and spray.
• Surface preparation by various means.
• Grit blasting.
• HPWJ & UHP washing.
• Experience in specialist two pack coatings preferable but not essential.
• Experience in industrial painting contracts preferable.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Completed FAS Painting & Decorating Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
• Good working knowledge of English preferable.
• Completed Health and Safety training would be an advantage.
• Minimum B Class driving licence an advantage.

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT

While we are recruiting for long term contracts in Cork, Dublin & Limerick, the candidate must be prepared to travel from time to time as the work can be based nationwide.

RATES OF PAY

Pay as per construction SEO, overtime paid at 1.5 and double time.
