Industrial Fitter Location: Limerick, Ireland €50,000+ DOE Full Time Immediate Start Syntech Recruitment are partnering with an established mechanical engineering contractor to recruit experienced Mechanical Fitters for plant maintenance, fabrication and mechanical works on major process and industrial projects. This is hands-on mechanical fitting plant and equipment maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, steel fabrication and structural work on industrial process sites. Working from engineering and isometric drawings on structured sites, keeping production plant and equipment running to standard. Duties Carry out preventive and planned maintenance on process plant and production equipment Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults troubleshooting, strip-down, repair and reassembly Maintain and repair mechanical equipment to keep plant running to standard Read and work from engineering and isometric drawings independently Carry out steel fabrication and structural steel work cutting, fitting, assembly of components and structures Fabricate and install pipework and metal components as required (carbon and stainless) Apply lock-out / tag-out and safe systems of work on all maintenance activities Work at height and handle materials safely on structured industrial sites Work within site QA and safety standards to project and client requirements Requirements Time-served or trade-qualified mechanical fitter Minimum 5 years mechanical fitting / plant maintenance on industrial process plant Strong on preventive maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair Steel fabrication and structural steel experience Confident reading engineering and isometric drawings independently Carbon and stainless steel experience; welding ability an advantage Familiar with lock-out / tag-out and safe systems of work Working at height and manual handling; Safe Pass Available for immediate start Highly Desirable Welding ability alongside fitting Plant tickets telehandler, MEWP, 360 excavator Experience on process, refinery, power generation or heavy industrial sites Shutdown / turnaround experience What's on Offer Immediate start on a major industrial project, ongoing work €50,000+ DOE, opportunity for overtime Lodge depending on location of work Pension contribution, death in service benefit 21 days holidays plus 10 bank holidays Apply today to speak with one of our consultants.
