RIGHT Groupare a leading Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Company with a significant track record in the Water and Wastewater sector.
We have an immediate requirement for a trade qualified Industrial Electrician to lead a two-person crew delivering electrical remedial works on water and wastewater sites nationwide. The role is best suited to someone living in the Galway, Roscommon or Westmeath area, where the current pipeline of works is concentrated.

The Role:
Working under the direction of a Project Manager, you will lead a small crew (yourself plus a General Operative or Apprentice) closing out electrical hazard notices and remedial items identified in periodic inspection reports at water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. You will plan your own day to day activities, work largely unsupervised on site, and be trusted to identify the right fix, carry it out to standard, test it and document it.
The work is nationwide. Sites are typically reached daily from the West/Midlands, with overnight stays from time to time.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivery and commissioning of small to medium sized Electrical installations
- Carry out electrical remedial works to close out hazard notices and periodic inspection items
- Inspection, testing and verification of LV installations and equipment, with completed test records
- Repairs, refits and alterations to existing M&E installations, including instrumentation, controls, pumps and VSDs
- Read and work from drawings and schematics, and record as built changes
- Supervise and guide the General Operative or Apprentice working with you
- Complete site paperwork including permits to work, method statements and risk assessments
- Work to the National Rules for Electrical Installations (I.S. 10101) and current H&S requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience post apprenticeship, ideally in industrial, utilities or process environments
- Strong inspection, testing and fault finding skills
- Safe Electric Qualified Certifier (QC) an advantage but not essential
- Experience on water/wastewater sites a distinct advantage
- Mechanical experience a distinct advantage
- Full clean driving licence
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling
- Confined Space training an advantage (training provided)
- A self starter who is comfortable working on your own initiative and leading a small crew
Remuneration:
- Salary EUR 57,000 to EUR 60,000 depending on experience, in line with Electrical Contracting rates of pay
- Company van and phone
- Overnight subsistence when working away from home

- 39 hour week, permanent full time position
