Individual Needs Assistant (INA) - Reception & KS1 Brighton & Hove September 2026 Looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference to a child's school experience every day?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brighton & Hove is seeking a caring and dedicated Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to support pupils in Reception and KS1 with additional needs, including speech and language difficulties.

The Role
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils in Reception and KS1
  • Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including speech and language difficulties
  • Helping pupils access learning activities and participate fully in school life
  • Encouraging communication, social interaction and emotional development
  • Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
  • Building positive, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported and confident
We Are Looking For
  • Experience working with children, ideally within a school or early years setting
  • UK classroom experience & highly reliable
  • DBS on the update service, or willing to apply
  • Understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
  • Experience supporting speech and language development is highly desirable
  • A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed
