Job Description

Our client, a highly regarded educational institution in Bury, Greater Manchester, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusive Learning Support Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive daily rate of £90 - £110.

As an Inclusive Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs (SEN) within our client's diverse and inclusive learning environment. Your primary focus will be to provide tailored assistance and guidance to ensure these students can fully participate in all aspects of their educational journey.

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff, collaborating to develop and implement personalised learning strategies that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your adaptability and patience will be essential as you assist with a wide range of tasks, from supporting students in the classroom to helping with homework and exam preparation.

  • Relevant qualifications in education, special educational needs, or a related field (e.g. , NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent)
  • Understanding of the principles of inclusive education and a commitment to promoting equal opportunities for all students
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions and the strategies and techniques required to support students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and families
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the educational and personal development of students with SEN
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills to adapt learning materials and approaches to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Proficiency in using relevant assistive technologies and digital tools to enhance the learning experience
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and a willingness to undertake additional training as required
