Inclusion Support Assistant - SEMH School - Bishop's Stortford September Start

We are working with a specialist SEMH school in Bishop's Stortford that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Support Assistant to join their supportive team from September.

This specialist school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop confidence, emotional resilience, and positive relationships. The school takes an individualised approach, helping young people re engage with education and develop the skills they need for future success.

As an Inclusion Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the wider support team to provide tailored support both in and outside the classroom. You will help pupils access learning, manage emotions, develop social skills, and overcome challenges that may impact their progress.

• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, SEND, or challenging behaviour
• Be patient, resilient, and understanding when supporting pupils with additional needs
• Have a genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning
• Be confident building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Be able to provide consistent support using a calm and supportive approach
• Work effectively as part of a dedicated and collaborative team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
