Job Description

Implementation Delivery Manager/Technical Lead - large scale records on prem to SaaS project

We are seeking an experienced Implementation/Delivery Lead to manage and control the delivery of the technical architecture for a major new Student Record System replacement project as they move to a new SaaS platform.

Reporting to the Programme Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of this complex programme on time and on budget.

Leading a team, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to transform high-level business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring that key milestones are met.

This is NOT an architecture role - the focus is on the delivery of the programme, and you would be part of a dedicated team created for the delivery of this.

Our client has a unique user base of in excess of 30,000 and this programme is part of a wider reaching digital transformation initiative.

In addition to the salary offered there are a number of attractive benefits which include, amongst others, c 40 days leave per year (inclusive of Bank Holidays) and a generous employer benefit contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic and operational planning to define the technical environment of the new Record System.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate architectural and technical risks.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are achievable and met.
  • Quality assure all technical solutions, approving them as fit for purpose before development.
  • Provide leadership for technical personnel including integration, testing, and reporting teams.
  • Provide seamless integration with enterprise-wide systems.
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience within the Education sector would be preferred, although proven delivery of a similar large scale SaaS platform in a complex environment may be considered
  • It is essential that you can evidence strong team lead skills and have experience in building teams delivering integrations, testing, and reporting functions.
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT systems.
Our client is based in Hertfordshire but may accommodate flexible working arrangements for the right individual.
