Location: Northampton/Hybrid
Duration: 31/12/2025
Rate: 492GBP/Day(Inside IR35)
Role Description:
A digital identity verification Architect needs a broad range of technical and soft skills to design, implement, and manage robust identity verification systems. Key skills include strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), security principles, cloud computing, and data privacy. They should also be able to communicate technical concepts effectively and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
Identity and Access Management (IAM): Deep knowledge of IAM concepts, technologies, and best practices.
Security Principles: Understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud security, and service models.
Understanding of network protocols, Firewalls, and security infrastructure.
Proficiency in relevant programming languages (eg, Java, Python) and experience with API development.
Knowledge of database management systems (eg, SQL, NoSQL) and their use in identity verification systems.
Understanding of cryptographic principles and algorithms used in digital identity verification.
Familiarity with biometric technologies and their application in identity verification.
Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for identity verification systems.
Knowledge of different identity verification methods (eg, knowledge-based authentication, 2FA, biometric verification).
Understanding of API and microservice architectures and their use in building identity verification systems.
Knowledge of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and its use in directory services.
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to identity verification systems.
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including developers, security professionals, and business stakeholders.
Ability to guide and mentor other engineers or team members.
Understanding of customer needs and expectations, and the ability to design solutions that meet those needs.
Specific Skills for Digital Identity Verification:
Understanding of various digital identity standards and frameworks: Knowledge of standards like NIST, OASIS, and IETF.
Experience with digital identity platforms and solutions: Familiarity with different platforms and services for identity verification and management.
Knowledge of KYC and AML regulations: Understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and their impact on identity verification.
In addition to the skills listed above, a digital identity verification architect should have a strong understanding of security best practices, data privacy regulations, and industry trends. They should also be able to adapt their design and implementation to the specific needs of the organization or industry they are working in.
