Your role in the team

The Senior IAM Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering advanced IdentityIQ solutions that support enterprise-wide identity lifecycle management, access governance, and application onboarding. This role leads complex development efforts, establishes engineering best practices, and ensures IdentityIQ services operate securely, reliably, and in alignment with organizational compliance requirements. The engineer collaborates closely with cross functional teams, provides technical guidance to junior members, and plays a key role in enhancing and maintaining a scalable, high quality IAM environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom workflows, rules, and APIs in SailPoint IdentityIQ to support automated provisioning and de provisioning across 20+ enterprise connectors.

  • Integrate SailPoint IIQ with LDAP based directories, web services, SAP, and cloud platforms, managing identity governance for over 50,000 users.

  • Configure modules including Lifecycle Manager and Compliance Manager to meet complex business and compliance requirements.

  • Lead and involve in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex IAM issues.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IAM solutions across infrastructure, application, and security domains.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex integration and configuration issues across multi environment IAM landscapes, ensuring system stability and compliance.

  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of IIQ components to ensure high availability, scalability, and responsiveness in large scale deployments.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for deployments using GitHub and Jenkins, supporting agile development and release cycles.

  • Responsive to dynamic work demands including flexible coverage as required.

Essential Skills
  • All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. For exceptional candidates we may consider sponsorship if already residing in the UK.

  • Minimum 5 years of broader IAM engineering experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years with SailPoint IdentityIQ development experience in Java, Bean Shell, JavaScript and REST APIs.

  • Solid understanding of infrastructure components including operating systems (Windows/Linux), relational databases, and application hosting frameworks.

  • Experience with Risk Modelling & AI Analytics and Cloud Governance modules.

  • Solid understanding of IAM principles including RBAC, access review, and policy management.

Desirable Skills
  • Exposure of Zero Trust architecture and its application in identity centric security.

  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts in identity analytics (e.g. Behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, risk based access decision).

  • Experience with IAM tools like IdentityNow, Saviynt or Entra ID Governance etc.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SailPoint Certified Implementation Engineer or other IAM product specific certification is a plus.

  • This role does not have Supervisory responsibilities.
