Hygiene Team Leader

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail-ready cuts for butchers' counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers, and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

Our Merthyr site is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly Hygiene team within our Product Supply Department (WIP). This is a full-time, permanent position, working 6.00 am to 6.00 pm - 3 days on / 3 days off.

As part of the Hygiene Team, your daily tasks will include:

1. Being responsible for agreed waste collection.
2. Organising rebate-able streams.
3. Controlling the agreed daily wash processes.
4. Keeping all areas of the factory clean and tidy, meeting health and safety standards.
5. Waste disposal, sweeping floors, washing floors, adhering to PPE policies.
6. Deep cleaning all machinery; cleaning belts, hand cleaning, framework, walls, floors, ceilings, lights; following cleaning instruction cards according to the area.
7. On occasions, in compliance with production, pre-wash down the area including floors, walls, belts, machinery, and tray wash.
8. Supporting the Product and Supply Supervisor.
9. Must have previous experience of Hygiene within a manufacturing industry.
