The Opportunity

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Hygiene Supervisor (Food Manufacturing) to join our team. We're looking for a proactive, adaptable individual to lead the site Hygiene Team, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene activity of all production areas.

What you will be doing
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the sites hygiene manual including cleaning instruction cards for all hygiene tasks around the factory, cleaning schedules and training records.
  • Assist in the management of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) documentations.
  • Responsible for all 'people management aspects' of the team including training and development.
  • Involvement in accident investigations to prevent re occurrence.
  • Assist Technical team including providing technical information as required by both internal and external customers.
  • Management of the Consumables stocks (PPE & Consumables).
  • Involvement in preparing for BRC and other internal / external audits.
  • Involvement of continuous improvement in relation to site hygiene and safe systems of work.
  • Carry out inspection sign offs following completion of process equipment cleaning/ engineering maintenance. Ensuring high hygiene standards across site.
Who are we looking for
  • Experience in a similar food manufacturing industry (chilled food desirable).
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene minimum.
  • HACCP Level 2 minimum.
  • IOSH in Health & Safety principles (desirable)
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to demonstrate and describe procedures effectively
  • Successfully build and manage a team as well as motivate staff
  • Self motivated with a hands on approach
  • Good communication skills with professional and positive attitude
