£15.22 per hour / £31,657 per annum
Monday - Friday / 2pm - 10pm

Our client based in the Deeside area is currently looking to recruit a Senior Team Leader within the hygiene department. Reporting to the Hygiene Manager, the Senior Team Leader is responsible for leading and overseeing hygiene operations to ensure all activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. This role involves managing cleanliness, safety, and compliance while supervising the hygiene team to maintain operational excellence. The Hygiene Senior Team Leader also promotes a safe work environment and supports cross-functional collaboration across the site.
Responsibilities- Lead hygiene operations to ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and company policies.
- Oversee safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible disposal of waste materials.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, reducing risks to employees and visitors.
- Conduct unannounced inspections to verify cleanliness and readiness of equipment prior to use.
- Ensure all clean equipment is clearly labelled to prevent contamination or misuse.
- Monitor and ensure completion of hygiene tasks according to defined procedures and protocols.
- Verify surface cleanliness using ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) swabbing techniques.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation to support traceability, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Confirm completion and acknowledgment of all scheduled cleaning and operational activities.
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are used at correct concentrations according to safety and compliance standards.
- Supervise and ensure all hygiene personnel are adequately trained, with up-to-date training records maintained.
- Foster a cooperative, communicative, and motivated working environment within the hygiene team.
- Assist with cross-functional tasks and initiatives that enhance overall site operations.
- Proven experience working in a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong knowledge of GMP principles, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with ATP swabbing and cleanliness verification methods preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform inspections and audits independently and proactively.
- Familiarity with training management and documentation control.
- Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
- Ability to conduct inspections in manufacturing and cleaning areas.
- May require standing and walking for extended periods.
