HV Electrical Engineer - UK Renewables

Exciting & senior level opportunity has arisen for a well-established and respected engineering company specialising in high-voltage electrical power infrastructure and grid connections.

Based in UK, this role requires someone who has experience in HV Electrical engineering To Manage high-voltage renewable projects.

Role

• Equipment layouts, single line diagrams and technical electrical design packages including cable schedules, technical calculations and testing, and commissioning procedures
• Electrical design interfaces, technical procurement and quality processes for HV projects
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers on design, installation, and commissioning.
• Select Design Consultants, Equipment Suppliers and Subcontractors & submit technical information for subcontract tenders
• Non-Conformance Reports on technical deviations
• Compliance with statutory requirements and company standards
• Submit technical information and scope of works for the commissioning process
• Manage simulation studies for generation connections eg load flow, reactive power capability, fault level analysis, power quality, and harmonic studies.
• Compliance with Engineering Recommendations, Distribution Code & Grid Code.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Experience working on HV Electrical Engineering projects
• Proven ability of good communication and influence at all levels
• Identifying compliance shortfalls or engineering opportunities within designs

Advantage:

• Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
• Electrical Engineering within the High Voltage renewables or utilities industries
