Bridgwater College Academy (BCA) is an secondary school in Bridgwater, Somerset, and part of the Bridgwater & Taunton College Trust. The academy offers a broad and balanced curriculum, strong pastoral support and clear expectations, helping students achieve their potential and prepare confidently for future pathways.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspirational Teacher of Humanities to join our team on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across one or more Humanities subjects (History, Geography and/or Religious Education), supporting students to achieve their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their practice within a supportive and collaborative department.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to deliver high-quality Humanities lessons in line with the school s curriculum.
- The energy, creativity, and resilience to bring learning to life
- A team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to contribute to a supportive and high-performing department
- A belief that every child can succeed, and that great teaching makes it possible
