About Us

Courtlands is a small, ambitious special school for children with social, emotional, sensory and learning needs. Our therapeutic model sits at the centre of everything we do, and our pupils thrive through consistent, structured and relational approaches to learning.

Our supportive, multidisciplinary environment includes:

We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with pupils and providing high quality teaching tailored to individual needs.

  • Well resourced classrooms with subject specific materials
  • A leadership team that values teacher wellbeing and workload balance
  • Opportunities for CPD including SEND training and subject development

  • A warm, friendly, collaborative staff team who support each other
About the Role

As our Humanities Teacher, you will:

  • Support pupils in developing curiosity, critical thinking and confidence in Humanities
  • Communicate effectively with families and external professionals
  • Participate in EHCP reviews and multidisciplinary meetings where required

This role is suitable for an experienced teacher or an early career teacher with a passion for SEND. Training and support will be provided.

About You

  • Calm, patient and able to use a relational approach
  • Adaptable and creative in curriculum delivery
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
