Job Description

Job Title: HR Specialist

Location: La Hulpe, Belgium

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Languages: Dutch, French and English

Work mode: Hybrid


Job Description:

  • Strong experience in hard HR, particularly payroll administration, benefits, and social legislation
  • Must have studied in Belgium
  • Mandatory knowledge of eBlox
  • Solid understanding of Belgian employment law, especially JC200
  • Fluency in French or Dutch with a good understanding of the other
  • Excellent English (spoken, written, and reading)


1. Payroll & Benefits Management

  • Manage end-to-end payroll and benefits for one or more business groups in Belgium:
  • Collect and process monthly payroll data in Workday and eBlox
  • Handle payroll for expatriates in collaboration with external tax advisors and Rewards team
  • Conduct 4-eyes checks on payroll input completed by peers
  • Provide social documents (e.g., DRS, C4) to employees
  • Coordinate with insurance providers for coverage during leaves (maternity, paternity, illness, etc.)
  • Work closely with the team to ensure timely payroll task completion

2. Employee Support & Liaison

  • Act as a point of contact for payroll, benefits, and social law-related questions
  • Keep intranet information updated for employee reference

3. Projects

  • Participate in ad-hoc HR projects (e.g., early retirement programs, works council requests)

4. Social Legislation Expertise

  • Provide guidance on payroll and social legislation
  • Liaise with relevant authorities (social security, unemployment offices, etc.)
  • Stay informed about legal updates and ensure compliance
  • Recommend improvements to align with new or changing legislation


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in payroll, consulting, or analysis
  • Fluent in French or Dutch with good knowledge of the other
  • Excellent English skills (spoken, written, and reading)
  • Mandatory knowledge of eBlox
  • Solid understanding of Belgian employment law, especially JC200
  • Experience with Workday is a plus
  • Strong analytical mindset and solution-oriented approach
  • Independent, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • High levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented with a customer service mindset and stress resilience
