HR DIRECTOR HIGH-GROWTH CONSUMER BUSINESS LONDON

Up to £100,000 + package + equity

I'm working with a high-growth, founder-led consumer business at an exciting stage of its development.

With ambitious plans for the next few years, they are now looking to appoint a senior People leader who can build the function and help create the organisation needed to support that growth.

This is not a traditional HR Director role.

You'll be joining a relatively lean, entrepreneurial business where there is genuine scope to build, shape and influence.

The opportunity

• Build and own the People function end-to-end
• Partner closely with the Founder and senior leadership team
• Shape organisational design as the business grows
• Lead hiring across leadership, central and operational teams
• Introduce pragmatic performance, reward and development frameworks
• Help define culture, standards and ways of working
• Build the infrastructure needed to support significant headcount growth
• Remain hands-on and comfortable moving between strategic and operational priorities

We're particularly interested in people who:

• Have built or significantly evolved a People function within a growing consumer, retail, hospitality or multi-site business
• Have operated successfully in founder-led or entrepreneurial environments
• Are comfortable with pace, change and ambiguity
• Can combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery
• Understand the commercial impact of hiring, retention, performance and organisational design
• Enjoy building rather than inheriting established structures
• Bring energy, judgement and a strong sense of ownership

This probably won't suit someone looking for a large existing HR team, significant infrastructure or a highly defined corporate environment.
