Job Description

The position is based at the company's office in Derry / Londonderry - Monday to Friday.
Contract duration: 12 months
Salary: Negotiable + 10% Bonus, Growth Opportunities, and other benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as company policies.
- Report on HSE performance KPIs, environmental monitoring, and measurement.
- Lead HSE steering meetings and safety committees.
- Assist in claims management processes.
- Review and update HSE risk assessments, policies, and procedures regularly.
- Support HSE and continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and support other investigations.
- Work with regulatory enforcement agencies, insurance providers, and occupational health services.
- Identify training needs and deliver HSE training as required.
- Collaborate with site teams to implement HSE improvement plans and safety roadmaps, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Coordinate safety measures for contractors and visitors.
- Assist with HSE budget management, including processing purchase orders and resolving invoice queries.
- Engage with leadership teams for HSE initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar qualification (candidates working towards this qualification are also considered).
- Has experience in a similar HSE role.
- Has knowledge of current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Has a good understanding of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and display screen equipment regulations.
