Job Description

HR Manager - Sandyford

Salary and package negotiable depending on experience.

Role Summary

Our client are a growing mechanical and electrical contracting business group, operating across complex construction and infrastructure projects in Ireland.

They are now seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and develop the people function across the group.

This is a commercially focused role, responsible for supporting business growth, strengthening workforce capability, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation within a site-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver the Group HR strategy aligned to business growth objectives
  • Drive recruitment and workforce planning, particularly for site-based and technical roles
  • Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation, industry regulations, and internal policies
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices across the organisation
  • Support line managers on employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Oversee onboarding and induction processes to ensure efficient mobilisation of staff to projects
  • Enhance employee engagement and retention, particularly across site and operations teams
  • Manage training and development programmes, including compliance and safety-related requirements
  • Provide HR reporting and insights to senior management to support decision-making
Candidate Profile Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a HR management role
  • Strong experience across full HR lifecycle (recruitment, ER, performance, compliance)
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or a site-based industry is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to operate in a growing SME environment
Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to align HR with business performance
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish employment law
  • Confident stakeholder manager across directors, managers, and site teams
  • Pragmatic, hands on approach with the ability to operate independently
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
