Your Role as HR Manager
  • Lead the full recruitment process, from advertising vacancies through to interviewing and securing the best talent.
  • Ensure all new employees receive a first class onboarding experience and oversee probation processes.
  • Work closely with senior management to support training, career development and succession planning across the business.
  • Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management and day to day people matters.
  • Monitor appraisals, development plans and performance review processes.
  • Analyse staff retention, conduct exit interviews and help improve employee engagement initiatives.
  • Advise on salary reviews, absence management and wider HR best practice.
  • Maintain HR policies, staff records and the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with current employment legislation.
  • Support disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes, working alongside external HR specialists where required.
  • Continually review and improve HR processes to support the ongoing success of the business.
What we're looking for from an HR Manager
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR position, ideally at HR Manager level or similar.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the confidence to advise managers at all levels.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • A proactive and solutions focused approach with excellent judgement and discretion.
  • Professional, approachable and committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
