Job Description

Interquest has a need for an experienced HR Business Partner with a background of working within a Local government setting. Previous experience within housing would be highly advantageous.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the delivery and development of an excellent Human Resources provision to all directorates within the Council, with a particular focus on strategic HR Business Partner support for the Housing Division.
  2. Act as a lead practitioner on complex casework, change management, and policy development within the Human Resources remit.
  3. Demonstrate behaviours and competencies to transform the HR service, ensuring it delivers highly effective, outcome-focused, and proactive support to the directorates, and implement all areas of policy development effectively.
  4. Provide a consistent, effective, and responsive HR service to meet customer needs across all HR areas, offering expert employee relations advice and support to managers and directors.
  5. Maintain current Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  6. Implement and comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  7. Lead the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures, ensuring legislative compliance and robustness to enable services to achieve their goals.
  8. Communicate policy rollouts effectively and ensure the council's website is regularly updated.
  9. Identify additional service requirements or shortfalls and recommend innovative solutions.
