Job Description
We are seeking a HR coordinator to join an established SME in Andover. This standalone HR role would suit an experienced HR Coordinator/advisor who is looking to expand and progress their knowledge and grow with the company. Our ideal HR coordinator will have sound working knowledge within a HR advisory function, is qualified to a minimum level 5 CIPD and have hands-on experience working within smaller organisations.
This amazing opportunity will suit an individual who has the desire to evolve into a senior HR role.
Office based (Andover)
Full-time hours: Monday - Thursday 0800 - 1630 and Friday 0800 - 1530
Permanent position
Salary circa £40,000 per year
Also included: on-site parking, extra days off over Christmas and an opportunity to work for an employer who take pride in watching their workforce develop.
As a standalone HR coordinator, you will have the ability and confidence to work closely with senior management to advise policies, projects, practices and procedures. You will be providing advice and support to employees and managers, enhancing workforce retention and streamlining HR functions. As you evolve within this role, so will your part grow in managing work reviews and change processes.
As HR coordinator your responsibilities include:
Managing staff relationships, responding to queries and manage expectations
Investigations (i.e. grievances and disciplinaries)
Overseeing appraisal process - identifying development needs for employees
Administering end to end recruitment processes
Produce monthly payroll including pension administration and employee benefit schemes
Monitor, review, and update HR policies in line with current legislation
Contributing to the company's future strategy (policies, projects, practices and procedures)
Dealing with other various HR queries as and when required
Essential criteria
CIPD qualified (Min Level 5)
Experience in a similar role
Current knowledge of Employment Legislation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in a similar role
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Be able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines
Proactive and efficient
Discrete, ethical and professional
Practical knowledge of HR Information Systems as well as MS Word, Excel and Outlook
The company have approx. 60 employees and are experiencing growth. The scale of the role would match someone who is used to working within smaller teams. Over time the responsibilities of the role within HR will grow.
