PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The HR Country Partner is a member of the HR team responsible for leading a team of HR Country Partners within a specific Cluster. They oversee the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring all processes from hire to retire comply with company standards.
This role requires understanding and managing various labor laws within the scope. The candidate must know how to work with Works Councils and Employee Associations, especially in challenging environments with complex legislation and organizational structures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the team applies HR policies and employee programs fairly, consistently, and in line with company values, mission, and labor laws. This includes policies related to Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Retention, HR audits, and administrative tasks according to global, regional, or local requirements.
Assist in evaluating business requirements in collaboration with Strategic HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to effectively communicate, implement, and support approved programs and processes, ensuring appropriate service and feedback mechanisms.
Address concerns across a diverse scope, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods for solutions.
Ensure quality in problem resolution and investigations to promote fair treatment of employees.
Support union contract applications and participate in negotiations where required.
Manage the appeals process as needed.
Continuously assess and improve procedures, SOPs, and SLAs to enhance client satisfaction.
Utilize data tools and metrics to identify trends and develop proactive solutions, including case management and documentation.
Stay updated on employment and labor practices.
Manage the team, including performance, hiring, retention, staffing, appraisals, coaching, and development.
Work independently with minimal daily instruction, managing multiple priorities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION:
This position supervises teams in one or multiple countries.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's Degree; an advanced degree is desirable.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Approximately 10-12 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in managerial roles, with in-depth HR knowledge. Multi-country experience is preferred.
Proven ability to drive change and navigate challenging situations with effective communication and crucial conversations.
Strong collaboration skills, listening, sharing, and respecting diverse ideas to achieve organizational goals.
Proficiency with HR software systems like case management and Workday, and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities with strong business acumen.
Unquestionable commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and privacy.
Healthcare experience and advanced influencing skills are a plus.
