Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a temporary opportunity based in Middlesbrough. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Overview:The successful candidate will provide specialist HR advice and support to managers and senior leaders, helping to manage complex employee relations matters, support organisational change and improve people management practices.
Main Duties:Provide specialist HR advice on Employee Relations, TUPE, Trade Union matters, Job Evaluation, Pensions, Equality and Diversity, and redundancy consultations
Build effective relationships with managers and senior leaders across the organisation
Advise and support managers on complex HR cases, including Trade Union consultation and negotiation
Develop, review and implement HR policies in line with legislative and organisational requirements
Support organisational change, business transformation and employee engagement initiatives
Coach and upskill managers to improve people management skills and behaviours
Provide specialist advice on Job Evaluation and contribute to the development of pay structures
Support Health and Wellbeing initiatives, including related contracts and services
Promote equality, diversity and organisational values across the organisation
Manage staff within the HR Business unit and deputise for the Head of Human Resources when required
Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner or in an equivalent senior HR role
Strong knowledge of Employee Relations and employment legislation
Experience dealing with complex HR matters, including TUPE, redundancy and Trade Union issues
Experience developing and implementing HR policies
Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
Experience coaching and advising managers
Relevant CIPD qualification or equivalent HR qualification
Previous local authority or public sector experience
Experience of Job Evaluation and pay structures
