Your future roleYou'll report to the Senior HRBP - UK&I Services and will oversee providing a professional HR support to local business partners, adherence to company policy and deployment of Alstom HR initiatives and ensures line managers develop their human relation skills to care for their teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, as well as exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with the local senior management team to develop and implement HR strategies that support our organisational goals.
We'll look to you for:- Gain an understanding of the business in order to support and advise line managers and employees in all aspects of HR related policy, process and queries.
- Understand and prioritise business needs, and translate them into HR actions, to meet business KPI's.
- Using HR internal systems to ensure accuracy of data, develop and use metrics to measure HR performance.
- Assure good Industrial Relations with unions and social partners in scope.
- Support your project leads to ensure the budget process is controlled and met e.g. headcount, training, salary.
- Prepare manpower/workforce planning as solid base for recruitment, and create succession plans, and assure enough anticipation and effective implementation.
- Work closely with C&B and HRD to support the development and implementation of policies and practices.
- Assure implementation of annual salary review and STI/bonus payments on time.
- Build managers' ownership of the management of their people, including coaching.
- Implement the Alstom performance management system.
- Prepare & manage the annual People Review, including development plans and ensure feedback to individuals.
- A high level of HR experience in a similar industry/environment.
- Generalist HR management experience covering all areas of HR management practice.
- Experience of working within a matrix organisation structure
- Professional expertise in employment law issues, redundancies and employee relations.
- Excellent communication skills with transparency, influencing and persuasion skills.
- Ability to make decisions/sense of urgency.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Ability to manage time and projects effectively.
- Fluent in the English language, written and spoken
- Business acumen, being able to understand company finances, resourcing and the ultimate aim of the business is important
