Job Description

As the business continues to evolve and scale, they're investing heavily in their people function to ensure employees have a positive experience throughout their journey with the company. This newly created opportunity sits within a collaborative People team and will support a busy HR function during a period of change. They're looking for someone who enjoys being at the heart of HR operations, providing first-class support to employees and managers while helping to build efficient processes and ways of working.

About the role

This is a varied HR Assistant position where you'll support the wider People team across HR administration, employee lifecycle activities, data management and HR projects. You'll act as a key point of contact for employees and managers, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the HR function while contributing to ongoing process improvements and people initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries
  • Manage the HR inbox and ensure enquiries are handled efficiently
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Support joiner, mover and leaver processes across the business
  • Assist with onboarding and prepare employment contracts and associated paperwork
  • Support the HR Business Partnering team with employee relations administration
  • Provide support across family leave processes and related employee queries
  • Assist with HR systems administration and data management
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of HR technology
  • Produce HR reports, metrics and people data insights
  • Raise purchase orders and liaise with external suppliers when required
  • Support annual HR processes, including documentation and communications
  • Contribute to a variety of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure employee records and files are maintained accurately and confidentially
About You

You'll be an organised and proactive HR professional who enjoys providing excellent support and building strong relationships across a business. You'll have previous HR administration experience, a keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in developing your HR career. This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys getting involved in a broad range of people-related activities.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working in an HR Assistant or HR Administration role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Confident communicating with employees and stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong administration and record-keeping skills
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes
  • Comfortable working with HR systems and handling employee data
  • Good Excel and reporting skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong customer service mindset and commitment to delivering a positive employee experience
  • Enthusiastic about building a long-term career within HR
