HR Assistant - 4 Grand Hotel, Malahide

The 4 Grand Hotel, Malahide part of the FBD Hotels & Resorts group, requires an experienced & highly motivated HR Assistant to join our busy People team.

Objective of role:

Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful candidate will proactively support the HR function of both hotels and play an integral part in delivering HR support.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the HR Manager in the delivery of the HR agenda for both hotels, ensuring alignment to our core values.
  • Embed and foster a postive culture throughout, where managers and colleagues can freely consult with the HR team, maintaining an 'open-door' policy.
  • Provide comprehensive HR guidance and support to key stakeholders across the business on issues such as employee relations, recruitment, health and safety, coaching, training and development.
  • Manage key elements of the colleague experience including on-boarding, Inducction, on-going development and off-boarding.
  • Support colleagues with general employment queries and employee relation matters in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist in conducting investigation, disciplinary and grievance investigations as required.
  • Ensuring all relevant weekly changes to pay are adjusted for the relevant week on Alkimii, our time & attendance system.
  • Ad hoc HR administrative tasks and HR projects as and when required
  • Any other duties that may be required to support the management team to deliver HR best practice.

The Candidate:

  • A relevant HR qualification such as CIPD or be studying towards one.
  • 1-2 years HR experience is desirable.
  • Previous experience in hospitality and/or retail industries would be advantageous.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft office and HRIS systems.
  • Previous experience with Alkimii is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
