You will deliver high-quality HR advice, ensuring the organisation receives an efficient, effective and fully compliant HR service.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor, supporting a diverse and fast-paced workforce where every day brings something different.

Description

Employee Relations

  • Provide clear, professional advice to managers on a wide range of ER issues, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
  • Manage complex ER cases and escalate to the HR Business Partner when needed.
  • Respond promptly to employee and manager queries.
  • Support the review and update of HR policies.
  • Maintain effective relationships with Trade Union representatives.
Occupational Health & Wellbeing
  • Proactively manage absence cases, ensuring welfare meetings and trend analysis.
  • Promote health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Prepare occupational health referrals.
  • Carry out Drugs & Alcohol testing after training, including out-of-hours on-call duties.
Employee Engagement & Development
  • Support performance reviews, learning initiatives and employee engagement activity.
  • Work cross-functionally to strengthen communication and engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Partner with Finance and Payroll on pay matters (e.g., sick pay, family leave).
  • Support the annual pay review.
  • Promote and help improve employee benefits.
Policy & Procedure
  • Draft, update and implement HR policies to ensure legal compliance.
  • Support policy rollouts and provide guidance on interpretation.
Management Information & Reporting
  • Assist with HR data, reporting, and analysis.
  • Support statutory reporting, including gender pay gap and ONS submissions.
  • Maintain accurate HR system data.

Profile

  • Experienced HR professional with strong employee relations knowledge,
  • Excellent communication skills, and the confidence to advise and influence at all levels.
  • You will be highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Previous HR advisory experience is essential.
  • Strong ER and employment law knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of working within an aviation / logistics / manufacturing or similar operational environment experience (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent note / minute taking ability, with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to advise various stakeholders, using sound judgement and mitigating risks
