Our client, a highly regarded international law firm, is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its London team on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join a highly collaborative generalist HR team and take on a broad, business-facing position within an international law firm.

Working closely with HR Managers as part of the firm's business partnering model, the successful candidate will support both legal divisions and business services teams, regularly engaging with Partners, senior stakeholders and employees across the business. The role will also provide exposure to key UK and global HR processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing daily HR advice and guidance to legal and business services teams
  • Advising on employee relations matters and providing mediation support where required
  • Supporting HR Managers in developing and delivering effective HR solutions across their respective client groups
  • Playing a key role in annual HR processes, including appraisals, promotions, salary reviews and bonuses
  • Attending relevant meetings alongside HR Managers, Partners and senior divisional leaders
  • Supporting talent management and succession planning initiatives
  • Acting as the main HR contact for the firm's international offices
  • Drafting complex HR correspondence, including bespoke contracts, flexible working arrangements and disciplinary, grievance and performance management documentation
  • Reviewing and analysing HR management information and identifying key issues for escalation
  • Managing parental leave processes and acting as a key point of contact for employees throughout their leave
  • Proactively managing employee absence, including long and short-term sickness cases
  • Managing end-of-probation reviews, attending meetings and making appropriate recommendations
  • Conducting exit interviews
  • Supporting the firm's immigration processes
  • Contributing to wider HR projects, including policy drafting, research and process improvements
Requirements
  • Previous HR Advisor-level experience within a professional services environment
  • CIPD qualified
