Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) are seeking an enthusiastic administrator to provide high quality and comprehensive administration support to our fast paced Human Resources department. As a valued member of our HR team, you will help us provide a first class HR service to NFRS and you will have opportunities to develop your skills within an HR environment.
The successful candidate will join a varied and fast paced role. Supported by a team, you will take part in a variety of HR and administration activities such as recruitment & promotion processes, maintenance of employee records, issuing formal correspondence and helping to coordinate various HR processes.

Role of a HR Administrator- Help coordinate recruitment and promotion processes.
- Maintain databases, extract reports and ensure accurate employee records while carrying out everyday HR processes such as starters, leavers and contractual variances.
- Support a friendly and driven workforce with HR queries.
- Provide administration support to the wider HR team and assist with general office duties.
- Ideally a background in HR administration; however generalist HR knowledge or previous administration experience in a fast paced environment is welcome.
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications and ability to input and extract information from a database.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and effectively organise work to reach deadlines.
- Understanding of how to provide excellent customer service.
- Strong awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience working within the public sector is a plus but not essential.
- Flexible approach to working with ability to travel around Nottinghamshire; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled candidates.
