Housing Officer (Fire Safety)

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (banking 30 minutes per week towards the shut down between Christmas and New Year). We offer flexibility with purpose through our Dynamic Working approach. While office-based work is the norm, most full-time employees attend the workplace at least four days per week (pro rata).

Harlow Housing Service is moving forward and as a Housing Officer (Fire Safety) you will work as part of a team, directly responsible for fire safety matters across the town.

You will be directly responsible for the service delivery of areas such as:

• Breaches of tenancy conditions relating to fire safety issues
• Ensuring fire safety recommendations are completed within agreed timescales
• Working closely with the Fire Service to reduce the risk of fire at council owned properties
• Providing advice and assistance on fire safety matters
• Ensuring service standards and high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.

You will need to be available to work or attend meetings outside normal working hours. A driving licence and access to a car or other satisfactory means of transport is required for this post.
