Job Description

We are currently expanding our cleaning team and are looking for a full time mobile cleaner for our housing schemes and housing stock across the New Forest area. You will require a valid clean driving licence and be responsible for ensuring that the buildings are clean, presentable, and safe for tenants and visitors alike.

You will represent the council out in the area and be in contact with tenants on a daily basis, so it is important to carry out your work in a professional and friendly manner.

The role is predominantly lone working. Your duties will include general cleaning activities such as hoovering, mopping, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and some work at height (step ladders). You will also report repairs, health and safety matters, and concerns related to each building visited during the course of your work.

About you
  • Previous experience of cleaning to a high standard, with the ability to use cleaning equipment correctly, including chemicals.
  • High level of customer service skills and a working knowledge of COSHH.
  • A clean driving licence (role is mobile within the district; a company van is supplied).
  • Ability to identify and report health and safety issues in line with policy and procedures, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to use own initiative as this role requires unsupervised work.
