Job Description

YMCA St Paul's Group is one of London's largest and most influential youth-focused charities. For more than 150 years, we've been creating transformational opportunities for young people and communities across the capital.

From life-changing youth work to inclusive health and wellbeing centres, and from essential community programmes to supported accommodation for those at risk of homelessness - everything we do is driven by our mission to help people grow in mind, body, and spirit.

We believe in building thriving futures for young people and flourishing communities for everyone. And now, you can be part of that journey.

As a Housing & Support Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping safe, supportive, and empowering environments within our accommodation services. This is a leadership role with purpose - where every decision you make contributes directly to changing lives.

Provide inspirational leadership
Lead and empower the Housing & Support team and Customer Services colleagues across your site(s), ensuring they're equipped to deliver exceptional support for residents.

Champion progression and opportunity
Work closely with the Progression Team Manager to create a whole-team approach to helping residents move forward in their personal journeys.

Collaborate across departments
Partner with Facilities, Property Management, Health & Wellbeing, and Children, Youth & Families teams to ensure a seamless, high-quality resident experience.

Ensure excellent housing services
You'll take responsibility for maximising rent and service charge income, maintaining high occupancy levels, and minimising voids through strong referral and induction processes.

Keep residents safe
Act as the safeguarding lead for your services, ensuring a culture of safety, dignity, and protection.

Maintain high-quality tenancy management
Oversee compliance with tenancy and licence conditions and address anti-social behaviour in line with YMCA policies.

Lead an exceptional customer experience
Manage and develop the Customer Services team to deliver welcoming, responsive, and professional support to everyone who uses our services.

At YMCA St Paul's Group, your voice matters. We are deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and authenticity, and we're building a workplace where everyone belongs and can thrive. You'll have opportunities to influence positive change through our Employee Resource Groups and collaborative culture.

Your development is a priority. We offer a rich learning and development programme, including:

  • Professional training
  • Qualifications

  • Clear pathways for career progression

We support the whole you, with benefits including:

  • Free gym access across all our sites
  • Retail and supermarket discounts
  • Free access to wellbeing and counselling support
  • Flexible working across multiple outer London locations
  • Career development programmes
  • Family friendly policies, including enhanced maternity pay
