Housekeeping Assistant

About the role

Join our team as a Housekeeping Assistant at Albion Court Care Home in Birmingham. Your focus will be to work as part of a team, ensuring all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home, and that residents are treated with dignity and respect in their personal spaces.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and use appropriate cleaning materials.
• Maintain all areas in a clean, presentable condition.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, including hotel service standards.
• Adapt and be flexible to cover various responsibilities at short notice.

Qualifications and Experience

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrated compassion and commitment to delivering high quality housekeeping services to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Required Checks and Proof

• ADBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
