Your focus as a Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.
Main duties of the jobAs a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your role is foundational in supporting the well being of residents at Milton Court Care Home in Milton Keynes. You will be enthusiastic and dedicated, focused on maintaining cleanliness and managing laundry services. Working as part of a cohesive team, you will ensure all areas meet high standards of hygiene, respecting residents' personal spaces and belongings.
- Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
- Understand surface cleaning requirements and the properties of cleaning materials.
- Maintain all areas in good condition and presentable.
- Treat all residents with dignity and respect, protecting their personal space and belongings.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly moving and handling techniques, fire safety and COSHH assessments.
- Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to delivering high quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
- Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for candidates who are:
- Knowledgeable in Health and Safety, moving and handling techniques, fire safety and COSHH.
- Experienced in public setting laundry cleaning.
- Compassionate and committed to high quality service for residents.
- Adaptable and flexible for a range of short notice responsibilities.
- ADB's Disclosure check, cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
