Housekeeper

Job Description

As a Housekeeper at Farmfield Hospital you will be an integral part of the housekeeping team providing a safe, clean environment for adult men who may have forensic or mental health challenges. You will clean all areas of the service - wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors' areas - working closely with the maintenance team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in day to day operations and liaise with all staff, visitors and service users.
• Demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette and greet visitors in a professional manner.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Undertake any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
• Attend mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a healthcare or similar environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

Where you will be working

Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BN - Farmfield Hospital, located next to Gatwick Airport. You will be caring for adult men 18+ who may have a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse and challenging behaviours.
