Hours Required: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm (including a 30-minute break)

The family have always employed a housekeeper and are looking for someone who can confidently take responsibility for the day-to-day running of their beautiful family home, maintaining high standards throughout whilst ensuring family life runs smoothly.

Cooking forms an important part of the role. The family enjoy fresh, home-cooked food and are looking for someone who is confident planning meals, shopping for ingredients and preparing a variety of nutritious dishes each day. Alongside the cooking responsibilities, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of housekeeping, laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, household organisation, shopping and errands.

The family are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and able to use their initiative, with the confidence to identify what needs attention and take ownership of your role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the home to a consistently high standard
  • Full housekeeping of a beautiful family home
  • Cleaning, care and presentation of all rooms and living areas
  • Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
  • Care of household linens, furnishings and finishes
  • Planning and preparing fresh, nutritious family meals on a daily basis
  • Grocery shopping and household shopping
  • Kitchen organisation and stock management
  • Managing household supplies and ensuring the home remains well stocked and organised
  • Running household errands as required
  • Coordinating deliveries and overseeing appointments with contractors and service providers where necessary
  • Occasional driving duties for family members
  • Daily dog walking and general pet care
  • Watering plants and assisting with light gardening tasks when required
  • Supporting the overall smooth running, organisation and upkeep of the household
Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working within a private household
  • Be an excellent housekeeper with strong attention to detail
  • Be a confident family cook who enjoys preparing fresh, home cooked meals
  • Be highly organised and able to manage a varied workload
  • Be proactive and able to work independently
  • Have excellent common sense and a practical approach
  • Be warm, personable and easy to work with
  • Have a positive, can do attitude
  • Hold a full driving licence and have use of their own car
  • Hold a current First Aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
