At Apleona we are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic staff to join our team. We currently have an opening as a House Supervisor at a religious site in Tullamore, Co Offaly.
Shift Pattern Monday - Friday 5 Hours per day
Main duties and responsibilities- Provide support and guidance to all direct reports (housekeeping staff, catering staff, cleaning operatives).
- Support a strong team dynamic by being a team player and a role model and lead by example to others.
- Support the integration of care through collaboration throughout the various teams.
- Communicate effectively with all staff, residents, external professionals, and other visitors.
- Work efficiently with administration, care, and maintenance staff and take part in multidisciplinary care meetings.
- Address any service-related issues as they arise and assist the house leaders as required.
- Assist the residents with personal matters in association with the leaders in a confidential manner and plan for full day and night continuity.
- Complete staff inductions for newly hired staff and review team performance and assist in managing staff performance.
- Responsible for rostering and arranging staff cover, including short notice cover and maintaining accurate records, including incident/accident reporting.
- Assist with completing payroll accurately and on time and maintain and update staff files and conduct staff performance reviews.
- Provide general secretarial support and front-of-house duties and manage supplies and assist with budget control.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls in a confidential manner and welcome visitors and family members to the house in accordance with protocol.
- Follow health and safety policies and maintain confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and all the operations of the house.
- Assist the residents to live their daily lives to the best of their ability in an atmosphere that is in keeping with the ethos of SOM.
- Good working level of English
- Excellent organizing and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Computer literate
- Garda vetting required
