Salary: £19-£21 gross per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

We're looking for a confident, organised, and initiative driven House Manager to oversee the day to day running of a beautiful 8 bedroom stately home near Warfield, Berkshire, which operates as a luxury private let. This is a varied and involved role suited to someone who takes pride in creating exceptional guest experiences and enjoys keeping a property running smoothly and to a very high standard. The role combines practical housekeeping and guest facing duties, making it ideal for someone proactive, detail driven, and naturally hospitable. The owners are looking for someone who notices the little things, takes initiative, and can confidently manage the property with care and professionalism.

Role Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for preparing the property for guest stays and ensuring everything is beautifully presented at all times. Duties will include deep cleaning and housekeeping, laundry and ironing, unpacking and helping guests settle in, preparing and setting up breakfast, which may include serving tea and coffee, assisting with luggage, and providing general hosting support throughout guest stays.

There is also the opportunity for the role to include some administrative support for the property, including assisting with bookings, organisation, property coordination, promotion, and light marketing tasks. This element of the position would suit someone who enjoys variety and is happy balancing both practical duties and organisational responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in housekeeping, house management, or luxury guest services
• A driver with a full UK driving licence
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident, proactive, and able to work independently
