Job Description

Salary: £54,240 per annum - base £37,600 plus up to £16,640 in gratuities and service charge.

Responsibilities
  • Creating a warm, welcoming, and lasting impression for our members.
  • Building genuine relationships with all members.
  • Providing genuine, attentive, natural, and friendly service to our members.
  • Answering phone calls, taking reservations, and responding to member queries; ensuring all follow ups are carried out promptly.
  • Being always immaculately presented in the correct uniform.
  • Ensuring all member information is captured and recorded on their profiles.
  • Being aware of all VIP members and their guests; ensuring their experience is tailored appropriately.
  • Anticipating members' needs and providing them a personalised experience.
  • Ensuring the reception area is tidy, presentable and fully stocked with necessary stationery and materials.
  • Being empowered to make decisions that enhance the member experience or defuse complaints.
  • Ensuring any issues are dealt with immediately, logged accurately and promptly followed up.
  • Preparing reports for the meeting.
  • Managing the team and looking after their mental wellbeing.
  • Supporting the Cloakcroom team in the smooth running of their department; reviewing that the area is clean and tidy before, during, after shift and lost property is logged efficiently.
  • Be available for no less than 2 closing shifts a week.
Qualifications
  • Previous host experience in a busy and high volume hospitality operation.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, SevenRooms, CRM systems).
  • Planning ability; able to work unsupervised.
  • Attention to detail; able to identify mistakes and request clarification.
  • Excellent time management skills; comfortable prioritising during busy periods.
  • Inspiring leader who relishes taking responsibility.
  • Confident in using purchasing, health and safety, payroll and rota systems.
  • Stays up to date with current food and beverage trends and best practices.
  • Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to operational hours.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and building relationships with members.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.
