Job Description
About the Role

Working within a thriving team of instrumental/vocal music teachers, the successful applicant will teach at a high standard in whole class instrumental learning, individual and small group instrumental lessons, and direct ensembles within school settings and at our music centres across the Bradford district.

Responsibilities
  1. Teach pupils both in groups and individually.
  2. Tutor and direct choirs or ensembles in schools and at music centres.
  3. Participate in the provision of concerts and performances.
  4. Actively motivate pupils.
  5. Seek out and apply innovations in instrumental and/or vocal teaching.
  6. Work as part of a team of professional teachers.
  7. Monitor and assess pupils, provide constructive feedback, and maintain clear, accurate and up to date records of pupils.
  8. Deliver whole class instrumental and continuation schemes.
  9. Work within the safeguarding framework as set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education.
  10. Undertake multi agency working and electronic information sharing to support integrated working and ensure effective use of digital technology.
  11. Work independently and as part of a team of specialist instrumental/vocal teachers.
  12. Provide advice and support to teachers, parents, carers and schools.
  13. Participate in team and service meetings.
  14. Share good practice and training.
  15. Determine when to enter pupils for examinations, Music Medals, ABRSM, or alternative examination boards.
Requirements

An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service and a current driving licence with access to own transport is required for all posts.
